He’d be next to Vince on a wrestling Mt Rushmore. When it comes to outside the ring, only Vince played a bigger role in shaping wrestling. Paul realized before Vince that the campy days of 80s wrestling needed to be tossed in the trash. Paul allowing Austin to be himself and the freedom to break away from the Stunning Steve Austin gimmick is directly responsible for giving the wrestling world Stone Cold and everything that followed.

Paul Heyman is one of the greatest minds in professional wrestling history. Every time he speaks I listen.

Paul is such a good talker, never forget the time, the crowd tried to 'hijack' a show with CM Punk chants and he shut it down, legendary. He is right about the talent, multiple guys who left or released talked about how much Paul fought for them and liked them, everyone can't go to smackdown though.

Two very smart, quick witted and interesting blokes. Good stuff.

As someone who studied business management and now marketing listening to paul Heyman talk about business, competition and how to manage things through time it feels like a learning session he is truly the Wiseman

Heyman ran ECW into the ground and jumped ship to McMahon as soon as bankruptcy proceedings started. He was a lot younger, though, and it seems like he’s got a much better grasp on the market nowadays.

This man wanted Aleister Black (Malakai Black), Ricochet, Humberto Carrillo, and Buddy Murphy for his vision of Raw. This man knows talent, it’s not his fault these guys are gone or floating in the main roster. Heyman deserves more credit than he deserves.

I've been a wrestling fan since the 80's and can honestly say there is no one in this industry more captivating (consistently) than Paul Heyman. His contributions can't be denied, and I can only hope that when that time comes and Vince is no longer able to do his job and someone else takes the helm of the WWE that their smart enough to make Heyman the #2. I think Triple H & Heyman together running the WWE would be amazing. Were in desperate need for a new regime change, and I can't wait.

Paul Heyman is Professional Wrestling! Such a phenomenal mind, always loved listening to Paul!! His mind on wrestling is unparalleled! He had so much love and desire for the product 💪 a legend!!

Paul Heyman is such an amazing personality and the way he just frame controlled a pro like Ariel in this conversation shows just the elite level of talent Heyman has.

Heyman's incredible understanding of character work is what makes him a master, his pairing with Roman is essential to The Tribal Chief's storyline. EDIT: Paul acknowledging that Roman's problem is lack of viable opponents is very cool, they know this storyline has an expiration date.

Paul’s been really good at seeing a change is needed and identifying where to make those changes. ECW was nothing like the campy wrestling of the 80s and was proving the audience wanted a change five years before Vince gave his “Good guys/bad guys” speech that ushered in WWF’s embrace of the Attitude Era.

I love Paul Heyman for his speaking skills, he is example to many many people on how to shape your mouth to have better pronunciation. Let alone the speaking and story telling.

Ariel is hands down the greatest interviewer in the history, and Paul answered every question without stuttering, great stuff

Mr Heyman is incredible. A mind, a tactician, a thinker. The side stepping of Aew questions was interesting, but Im absolutely sure he pays way more attention than he eluded to. Came in for a few minutes and now im 48 mins in

Bro this man can legit sell me air. His ability to speak so eloquently,he has a rhythm and such a way to story is ridiculous.

Heyman is a master at blurring reality and kayfabe! Also the little digs at CM Punk and not directly praising AEW made me both chuckle and roll my eyes at the same time...

I remember Paul from back in the old AWA days when he was Paul E. Dangerously. Greatest mind and greatest talker in the wrestling game.

I'm here listening to his visions, his explanations about the business, how it works, the hows and whys, the pros and cons and how a con can be seen as a pro... I'm a very bright guy and i've seen a lot of bright guys and some geniuses out there but this man... He is a Genius godlike in this industry!

Paul Heyman is the only person in WWE that can go on interview and cover Vince & Bruce's screwups & making them look like gods.

1 second ago Heyman is a combination of "Classy"Freddie Blassie, " Captain" Lou Albano, Bobby "The Brain" Hennan, and The Grand Wizard! I may be dating myself here, but I've had the chance to have watched them all at the pinnacle of their careers, and can say that Paul Heyman is like the best of all four wrapped into one!

Speaking on the role of "The Manager" this is where Heyman is an innovator, constantly transforming his skillset into newer iterations. Stars come & go but a chameleon has never left. However, that aside, I think the "manager" role also exists in the form of when a wrestler takes a younger wrestler under their wing & one of the more exciting ones to emerge recently is the pairing of Jeff Hardy & Aaliyah, I think they have a really interesting buddy/buddy - brother/sister chemistry that would go on to spark great emotionally invested storylines of old. Controversy, adversity, redemption, loss, rise to stardom. It'd be really cool to keep developing that bond.

Paul Heyman is something special! If I was a young guy in the business I'd be sitting under his learning tree and constantly be asking him questions.

48 minutes isn’t long enough to listen to Heyman speak!

This is again, an unbelievable interview from Paul, however I do find it sad that even he knew when recording this that talent like Hit Row wouldn't last long or get the chances they deserved.

Always great to hear Heyman talk. One of the all time most insightful and driven voices in pro wrestling.

Seeing Paul do his thing over the past few years has given me the impression that he is a man who, beyond a shadow of a doubt, knows the business he's in. Seeing him "out of character" and speaking about that business with such clarity and passion only confirmed that.

This man is the greatest man in professional wrestling. I'd listen to him for daaaayysssss on end. Just has the unique ability to create from nothing.

I like how he mentioned Mustafa Ali in this and how Mustafa views the business. This is a guy who could've been WWE champion or at least a Money in the Bank winner but he still keeps pushing

Paul Heyman is the only person who can talk about the backstage and creative of wrestling while still making it seem real. Guys a genius.

Between Ariel’s ability to ask questions and Paul’s ability to speak, this was great

I can’t believe I watch this to the end. Damm Paul is really a wise man

Its hard to believe this guy used to piss me off. Now im older I could talk wrestling with him for days. Absolute legend in the business.

He's a great orator, of course, but one could argue that he if he doesn't lose his job over some of these answers, it's not because of his rhetorical skills and performance in this interview.

The insight Paul has about the industry, it's mind boggling.

Very interesting seeing this perspective that's behind the scenes, kinda. I remember Heyman when I was a teen watching ECW. Dude has the gift of gab. Great interview

This was 48 mins and i could of easily listened to another 48mins. Great interview with one of the great geniuses of wrestling

genuinely haven't watched pro wrestling since I was 13 years old, but every year whenever Ariel interviews Paul I make sure to watch.

Its been so long since I've seen/heard an analytical interview about pro wrestling. And of all people, Paul Heyman being interviewed. Wouldn't miss it for the world.

I LOVE Heyman, but man he knows how to circle around a true answer, can't wait for him to be off WWE and then have real answers!

I love paul heyman's vocabulary. It's really astonishing to listen.

I’m not a wresting watcher but I do imagine a big portion of their viewership must come from age 13 and under? I imagine that’ll be affecting the views on the video

heyman is an absolute legend and icon in the business, knows it inside and out

PH's fit is always clean and on point. His experience and skill to handle the wrestling entertainment field is superb

Character development, business and marketing relations, media and technical intricacies, product knowledge, talent management - Paul Heyman is a genius in a full package.

Heyman is so passionate in regards to the pure business of sports entertainment. Always have been a fan. Awesome guy.

Amazing how he can go into real life/serious mode and promo mode so naturally.

I hope that, in a post Roman Reigns role, Paul Heyman can be the modified General Manager of either Raw or Smackdown. And, by modified, I mean having a Mr. McMahon kind of role - with complete “control” over the roster as a true heel.

I love how they started off like this was Ariel's first long interview with Paul lol. First one on BT...and they're so good together that it might as well be their first. It's that good. It amazes me that this turned into something between Ariel and DC on Twitter. I didn't see DC's first tweet or tweets, but I saw Ariel come back and say something about Dana allowing DC to @ him and then DC went off. If it wasn't for show, I hope they kiss and make up.

Aew reminds me of the wwf before and at the start of the attitude era with unlimited talent on the roster and a level of creative liberty that makes good entertainment.

Brock is like a beast got away from a cage, ready to hunt down or kill anything in its path, and that too a very strong scary beast. Roman is like the final boss, but which is very patient, calm, collective, thoughtful, always hungry and that too a very strong one physically. Love and admire both of them. They are bigger-than-life beings.
