The bow at the end to his friend was a really really really nice gesture. A worthy opponent for sure in mark, he just got caught lacking and it happens to everyone in this sport. Love the restraint of not hammering Mark while he was down, I love that Lyoto didn’t want to do that to his friend.

Lyoto Machida is without a doubt my favourite fighter ever. Never hits anyone he doesn't have to and always shows respect.

As an MMA fighter this is what it's all about. My last fight in Clarksville Tennessee a smaller promotion didn't have the pre fight promotion but I didn't know anything about my opponent but his wife couldn't make the show and he said she wanted to see who he was fighting so we did a little face off picture for her. Then after I won we sent her one mutually congratulating the other for a good fight

There is nothing more satisfying than sportsmanship in fighting. Just something about watching people trying to knock each other out, then hugging it out after the fight, it's just beautiful. They fight for pride, they fight for their families, but when they set their own glory aside to show respect for the other fighter, it makes it more fun to watch.

The best and most underrated part of the sport. Seeing two warriors give each other kindness and respect after just exchanging in a physical war is an excellent example of the honor prevalent in the sport. These moments in seem to mean more in MMA than any other sport I think. The handshakes/hugs seem to just be treated as a formality in other sports.

Damn, seeing Khabib's father hug Poirier after their fright brought tears to my eyes, must've missed that when I first saw the fight, so lovely to see such a character of a man hug Khabib's opponent, true combat sports hero's, RIP to the legend

I to this day cannot get over the fact that win or lose, every time a fight ends Nate Diaz is just covered in his own blood.

Real fighter understands his struggles to get to the glory and at the same same time he respects his opponent’s struggles and loss too. Fighters who have empathy for their rivals are true fighters.

MMA might be the only sports where the male and female categories are both incredibly good. I really enjoy this part of the sport. Everyone from every country can come and be a champ and it's awesome that it exists, just for that. And those moments of sportmanship are really unifying, I think.

The adesanya silva fight got me in the feels man. I grew up watching and idolizing Silva and so did Izzy, and getting the opportunity to fight him and win. Can’t even imagine the emotions.

Lyoto Machida has been known as one of the most respectful UFC Fighter. I remember several of his TKO wins, when he sees the his opponent being unconscious way before the ring referee did, he'll stop his punches half way until the referee declares it as a win. Love this man, definitely a Hall of Fame.
