Yeah, it was, but the manger bares the ultimate responsibility. I’ve worked in good teams and then the manager moves on or is promoted and the replacement comes and the teams implodes under their leadership, it’s the same team, sometimes it just goes stale but it’s the boss who is meant to identify and make changes accordingly!

And what about the TV pundits who were ex-United players and both actively encouraged Solksjaer to be made permanent manager and then failed to objectively acknowledge that he was not the right choice. Solksjaer is a decent man, who loves United and wanted to restore the club's fortunes, but he was also clearly not experienced enough and probably not the right kind of personality either. I'm a Liverpool fan btw.

Don't think pool or city going anywhere for 2 or 3 years and others e.g west ham spurs arsenal have a more solid squad than utd right now. All the doubters who slag off utd for making money should now hope this same money comes to their aid..rebuilding. going to be a challenge to get champs league for a few years. Utd are top 8. Pool really should've beaten us 8-0 and then people say Ole brought us through such a toxic time under Jose..... it was toxic but Jose's team would smash Ole's final teams of the last month. Totally agree with Scholesy, & have been saying this for days. There’s not going to be some huge dramatic change in approach, these are all the same people who’ve led us down a rather basic road in our game. It simply reflects on the board that they’ve (the board) lived up to their standards & expectations they’ve set…always react too late, wait until a season is severely damaged, & ultimately time decisions around share prices, rather than the on pitch aspects of the club. It didn’t work out for Ole, he’s not of the level or nous to compete with the top boys, but he’s been very loyal to those staff, who’ve really not done that much in return.
