Had to check mate yes 1937 Rangers played Stoke in a charity match for coal miners, Stoke gave rangers a trophy called the loving cup which only 21 was made for king George the IV. The only thing the Stoke President ask was the start of every new season rangers must toast the Queen.

When St Johnstone have won more trophies than rangers when Gerrard was in charge then I don’t think it’s as big of a loss as people are making it out to be. Possibly even an upgrade.

Great great start to gio's managerial career at ibrox - the tactical changes and choice of players he chose tonight were absolutely perfect, including where he played morelos was decisive in our victory. We could have easily scored more "Great performance boys" 🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I won't speak too soon but Gio is already an upgrade to Gerrard

It's too soon to say anything yet, i'm grateful to Gerrard for winning the title and stopping that lot from the 10, that hurt them. Rangers did seem to have an adrenaline dump from the title win last season and were a bit flat this season, compared to last season we have been poor defensively and in attack despite still being top of the league, i'm hoping the change in manager can give us a much needed boost

Gio has said something I noticed & commented on a few months ago, & that was the wasteage of Morelos by Gerrard, who tried to turn our best striker since Boyd into an all-round player. We don't expect 20 goals a season from Greegsy; let's not expect a 25-year-old to re-invent his game & be just as good. Shows that GVB & I are better managers than Slippy.

Don't get carried away folks, still a work in progress. We need to work our socks off to retain the league title. It would be nice to add to the squad with a bit better quality but then so would any team. Perhaps he has some dutch players that would be interested in the potential of CL next year.

No the "new badge" is for this season only to commemorate the clubs 150th year. Queue raging bitter tims commenting saying "rangers died in 2012", Do they not realise that if that was true it would actually be more embarrassing for them that the so called youngest club in Scotland stopped their glorious ten in a row and have been carrying Scotland in Europe for 3 consecutive years.
