Jose called out players that dropped standards after finishing 2nd . Shaw ,Pogba yet rio and g nev through him under the bus these same players have through Ole under the bus. We missed out on Pep, Klopp, Tuchel, all would have transformed the club, yet out owners and board are inept. Poch is not good enough, Zidane is not the answer. There is a reason UTD had/have huge disappointments after Matt Busby and SAF and it's because the club lives on past success and think they automatically have the right to win things without a proper structure in place. It's almost like the club are saying "we are Manchester United and we are so big that success will just come naturally". It will be another 10 years of disappointment with the odd cup victory.

He wouldnt wanna join United. He likes a club with a good system and academy like Ajax. I see Ten Hag replacing Pep in 2023. Ten Hag prefers tika taka since he was Pep's assistant at Bayern. Pochettino would do rebuild United. He did this with Spurs. That was Spurs which he rebuilt. He turned Dele Alli into an elite player for a brief amount of time. Also, Pochettino managing United might tempt some good Spurs players who want to leave to join United such as the likes of Harry Kane. edit: Imagine what Pochettinho would do to Greenwood. He would become elite!

Who should be the next CEO is an important question too. Ed Woodward does not have the football smarts to lead a massive football club. The elephant in the room is how to get the best out of this hotchpotch of players built around pressing and counter attack with Fernandez as leader now Ronaldo has arrived and destabilised the leadership and tactics. They need someone who can get the best out of Ronaldo with tactics that suit the other players too. Not an enviable job. In answer to the question posed they need a manager that can demand respect and what he wants from Ronaldo.

Rio is spot on here. The lack of effort is there for everyone to see. We can talk about tactics all day but if the players are not showing the intent and desire, no manager can help save United. I would also attribute this to a lack of leadership on the pitch. If Sir Alex was in charge, there’s no way he would have accepted dismal performances from the players.

It happens and has happened to every club on earth, when an incohesive coach doesn't inspire the team and motivate the players then there's no incentive to win games and give it all on the pitch. Tactics wise Ole was no better than a 15 year old on Football manager and he had an attitude of a regular 80 year old! Look at Pep, Klopp, and even Arteta watching their reactions in the games looks like a rollercoaster, while Ole smiles at draws and acts like a mummy most times

In comes Tuchel and they arnt playing better football but through sheer doubling of efforts they had nr best form in the league for 4 mths and won the champs league final on hard work ALONE. Thats just good players having the fear factor and respect for the boss rather than good players making little effort and ending up lacking confidence to boot

I doubt he would, his style wouldn't suit the team we have, he'd need to possession Pep like football, because bar Rashford, there are no other direct counter-attacking players in this current team, Ronaldo isn't the same player anymore, he's now a possession player, and fell out with Mourinho, Pogba did, Martial, Shaw, Matic is past it, he'd be forced to use McFred, 1: he don't like Pogba, 2: he has had frosty thoughts, when commenting on Bruno, 3: he fell out with Ronaldo, the problem with Ole was, the attacking players, complained about, attacking patterns, and link-up play, in the final 3rd, that was the same problem Mourinho had at Tottenham, RM, Chelsea and United, the only reason he may suit it for 1 year max, do the quick title win, and then leave, whilst half the team are gone as well, a Pep, Sarri, Ten Hag possession type coach, with Europa experience, are the type of managers United would suit, for the short & long term

I don't know if Zidane is interested at all and he's not that great in my opinion. The idea of hiring Koeman or Valverde can't be taken seriously. Maybe Brendan Rogers? Maybe Andrea Pirlo? Joachim Low? I think the people in charge need to decide what kind of team they want, how they want to play and how they want the team to represent the brand. Then choose the manager that can materialize those ideas and go all out for him, but have a plan B.
